We're looking for passionate Youth Support Workers to deliver inclusive youth-focused programmes across Merseyside. You'll work directly with young people in community centres, schools, outdoor spaces and through outreach, helping them build confidence, positive relationships and life skills. Programmes include youth clubs, SEND provision, young carers' respite, youth voice and targeted support. This is a part-time, fixed-term role.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver face-to-face youth work programmes in line with agreed objectives and safeguarding requirements.
• Support young people from a range of backgrounds, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
• Help deliver outreach, detached youth work and positive community activities.
• Support young people to influence decisions affecting them.
• Work with colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations.
• Contribute to programme monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Support health and safety, safeguarding and effective use of resources.

What we’re looking for

• Experience working directly with children, young people and their families.
• Experience delivering activities or programmes for young people.
• Understanding of youth work principles, participation and empowerment.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• NVQ Level 2 or above in Youth or Community Work, an equivalent qualification, or substantial relevant experience.
• Experience of detached, outreach or open-access youth work.
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs or facing barriers to participation.
• Good IT skills and knowledge of local support services.

We're looking for a resourceful and passionate Lead Youth Worker to join our Programmes & Engagement team. You'll oversee programme delivery, coordination, monitoring and development, supervise staff, manage rotas and lead team meetings. Approximately 80% of contracted hours involve face-to-face youth work. The role reports to the Area Manager.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead youth work programmes in line with Vibe UK’s mission, Theory of Change and young people’s needs.
• Supervise, coach and support staff, including recruitment, training and performance management.
• Manage staff rotas, coordinate activities and lead team meetings.
• Ensure programmes meet agreed contracts, budgets, objectives, standards and safeguarding requirements.
• Support programme development, research, budgeting and funding opportunities.
• Oversee resources, financial plans and operational requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate programme performance and produce reports.
• Build relationships with young people, families, funders, partners and stakeholders.
• Advocate for young people and ensure their voices shape services.

What we’re looking for

• Experience developing and delivering programmes for young people.
• Knowledge and understanding of youth work principles and practice.
• Experience managing staff and budgets.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
• Experience implementing monitoring, evaluation and performance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, IT and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Desirable: D1+E driving licence.
• Desirable: Experience with open-access, targeted, detached or outreach youth work.
• Desirable: Youth work qualification or volunteering experience.

Make a difference to young carers through Me Time. Young carers can take on responsibilities that affect their friendships, wellbeing and opportunities to enjoy being young. Our weekly Me Time sessions provide a welcoming space to take a break, have fun and build friendships. We're looking for a Youth Worker to deliver engaging activities and build positive relationships with the young people we support. This is a three-year fixed-term opportunity.

What you’ll be doing

• Support delivery of weekly Me Time sessions for young carers.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Plan engaging activities reflecting the interests and needs of the group.
• Encourage participation, inclusion and positive peer relationships.
• Give young carers opportunities to relax and enjoy time away from caring responsibilities.
• Support young people to develop confidence and friendships.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive youth work environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to monitoring and evaluation.
