St Helens Youth Council and Halton Youth Cabinet Attend UK Youth Parliament Annual Conference
Members of St Helens Youth Council and Halton Youth Cabinet recently attended the UK Youth Parliament Annual Conference at the University of Sussex, joining young representatives from across the country for a weekend of debate, collaboration, and leadership development.
Held on 28th July 2025, the conference brought together Members of Youth Parliament and youth representatives to discuss the issues that matter most to young people and shape the future direction of youth voice across the UK.
Throughout the weekend, delegates took part in powerful debates, contributed to the development of motions aimed at creating real change, and worked alongside young people from every corner of the country to share ideas and experiences. The event also provided an opportunity to build new friendships, reconnect with familiar faces, and strengthen regional partnerships, with the St Helens and Halton representatives working closely alongside their peers from Knowsley and other youth councils across the country.
The conference equipped attendees with new skills, fresh ideas, and renewed motivation to continue championing the voices of young people within their own communities. The knowledge and experiences gained will now be shared with both St Helens Youth Council and Halton Youth Cabinet, helping to shape future campaigns and projects across the two boroughs.
Vibe UK is incredibly proud of all the young people who represented St Helens and Halton. Their enthusiasm, passion, and commitment to creating positive change demonstrate the importance of investing in youth leadership and ensuring young people's voices continue to influence local and national decision-making.
