St Helens Youth Council and Young Carers Begin Exciting New Partnership
St Helens Youth Council (STHYC) recently welcomed representatives from St Helens Young Carers for an inspiring meeting focused on collaboration, shared priorities, and creating new opportunities for young carers across the borough.
The session gave both groups the chance to learn more about each other's work, exchange ideas, and begin planning future projects that will ensure young carers are heard, recognised, and supported within their communities.
Discussions explored how the two organisations can work together to amplify the voices of young carers, raise awareness of the challenges they face, and develop initiatives that create meaningful and lasting change. By combining the lived experiences of young carers with the campaigning and leadership skills of St Helens Youth Council, the partnership aims to strengthen youth voice across the borough.
The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between youth organisations, recognising that by working together they can reach more young people, influence local decision-makers, and create opportunities that benefit the wider community.
Both groups left the meeting feeling inspired and excited about what lies ahead, with plans already beginning to take shape for future joint projects and campaigns.
