Vibe UK Training Team Strengthens Connections During Visit to the Isle of Man

The Vibe UK Training Team, alongside Paul, recently travelled to the Isle of Man for what marks an exciting milestone and, hopefully, the first of many visits.

The trip was filled with memorable moments, from engaging training exercises that sparked laughter and team bonding, to shared experiences exploring local culture and cuisine, including trying the Isle of Man’s unique dish, Queenies. Throughout the visit, there was a strong sense of mutual appreciation and connection between both teams.

Rather than feeling like a formal training session, the experience was defined by collaboration, shared learning, and genuine relationships. The atmosphere created a sense of camaraderie, with the team describing the experience as spending time with new friends.

The visit reflects Vibe UK’s commitment to delivering meaningful, engaging, and relationship-driven training experiences, while also embracing opportunities to connect with communities beyond the local area.

Vibe UK looks forward to returning to the Isle of Man in the future and continuing to build on these positive connections.

Vibe UK Team Explores Innovative Learning at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

Members of the Vibe UK team recently took part in a unique and inspiring professional development experience at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

During the visit, the team engaged in an immersive learning suite, working through a series of challenging, puzzle-based scenarios designed to promote collaboration, critical thinking, and leadership in action. The hands-on experience encouraged staff to think creatively and work together to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment.

In addition to the immersive activities, the team had the opportunity to meet some of the facility’s resident snakes and observe venom extraction. This provided a fascinating insight into real-world scientific practices, as well as the importance of safety, precision, and problem-solving in specialist fields.

The visit proved to be a valuable development opportunity, with staff leaving inspired and full of ideas about how these innovative approaches can be adapted to create engaging and meaningful experiences for the young people Vibe UK supports.

Three Heroes, One Cause: Carl, John & Greg Take on Liverpool Cathedral for Vibe UK

On Saturday, three incredible supporters of Vibe UK — Carl, John, and Greg — took on an unforgettable challenge: abseiling down the iconic Liverpool Cathedral.

This wasn’t just about the adrenaline (although the views were breathtaking!). It was about raising money and awareness to support Vibe UK’s mission of helping young people build positive relationships, gain confidence, and create brighter futures.

From the very top of the cathedral, 100 metres above the city, the trio took a leap of courage, cheered on by friends, family, and the Vibe team below.

Their bravery and dedication are a true reflection of the spirit of Vibe — going above and beyond to support young people in our communities.

Thanks to their amazing effort (and the generosity of everyone who sponsored them), vital funds have been raised that will go directly towards our youth programmes, outreach work, and relationship-focused support.

We couldn’t be prouder of Carl, John, and Greg — and we’re so grateful for everyone who got behind them.

VIBE UK CEO Speaks on LBC Radio About Youth Work and Prevention

This week, our CEO Paul Oginsky joined Nick Ferrari on LBC Radio to discuss the disturbing story involving a group of teenage girls who were filmed violently attacking a pensioner.

While the incident has understandably caused national outrage, Paul made a vital point during the interview — that the vast majority of young people are kind, thoughtful, and just as shocked by what has happened.

He used this moment to call for greater investment in youth work, particularly in relational, preventative approaches that offer young people positive role models, support, and challenge at the right time in their lives.

“Building the right relationships with young people gives us the chance to speak words of affirmation and challenge when it matters most — and helps safeguard them from harmful influences.”

Paul explained how VIBE UK’s Relationship Framework (RF4) supports young people in building healthy connections, avoiding exploitation, violence and toxic relationships — and ultimately thriving into adulthood.

While we welcome recent announcements on youth work and skills development, VIBE UK continues to call for proper investment in universal youth services, which have seen significant cuts over the past decade.
