RF4 Strategy 2026–2031

Vibe UK is launching an ambitious new strategy in April 2026 with a clear and collective goal: to reach 1 million young people aged 10–19 (and up to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) by March 2031 through RF4 relational youth work practice.

At Vibe UK, we believe that relationships are at the heart of effective youth work. Our approach is grounded in building trusted, consistent, and meaningful connections that enable young people to feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive. Through RF4, we deliver personal, social, and emotional development opportunities that make a lasting difference in the lives of young people across the North West of England.

Alongside our direct delivery, we work in partnership with organisations to embed RF4 into their own practice. We provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to help teams adopt relational approaches in their work with young people. Organisations that adopt RF4 are part of a growing network committed to shared values and measurable impact.

RF4 is not intended to replace what organisations already do. Instead, it enhances and complements existing approaches, aligning with frameworks such as the Youth Matters Youth Strategy, the National Youth Work Outcomes Framework 3.0, and other established academic and sector frameworks, including Gatsby. It provides a shared language for relational practice one that can be understood and recognised within organisations, across youth work and beyond our sector.

As part of this commitment, organisations working to RF4 are asked to report annually on the number of young people they have engaged with over the year. This helps us collectively demonstrate the reach and impact of relational youth work, and ensures we are progressing towards our shared target of supporting 1 million young people by 2031.
