GLOW Celebrates Community and Pride at Halton Pride

GLOW was proud to take part in this year’s Halton Pride, joining the wider community in a vibrant celebration of identity, inclusion and support for LGBTQIA+ young people.

Throughout the event, GLOW provided a visible and welcoming presence, giving young people the opportunity to connect, engage and celebrate Pride in a safe and affirming environment. The day was filled with positivity, colour and a strong sense of community, with many young people attending and representing GLOW with pride.

For many of those involved, Halton Pride offered a valuable opportunity to be part of a larger celebration of LGBTQIA+ identity, reinforcing the importance of visibility and belonging. GLOW’s presence helped ensure that young people felt represented and supported within the wider Pride event.

Staff and young volunteers played a key role in creating an inclusive and engaging space, encouraging conversations, building connections and promoting the ongoing work of GLOW within the community.

Events like Halton Pride are an important reminder of the impact that safe, supportive spaces can have on young people’s confidence and wellbeing. GLOW remains committed to providing that space week in, week out, and looks forward to continuing to support and celebrate LGBTQIA+ young people across Halton.
