GLOW Performs at Culture Halton’s Pride Cabaret

The Pride Cabaret at The Brindley was a fantastic celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride, creativity and community on Friday 22nd May 2026, bringing together performers and audiences from across Halton for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and self-expression.

The event showcased a wide range of performances celebrating identity, individuality and inclusion, with local groups and performers taking to the stage in a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere. From music and dance to spoken word and live performances, the evening highlighted the importance of creating spaces where people feel safe, seen and celebrated.

A highlight of the evening was a powerful performance from GLOW, VIBE’s LGBTQIA+ youth group for young people aged 11–17. The group performed a medley of songs featuring dance performances alongside original poems and speeches written by the young people themselves. Their performance explored themes of identity, pride, acceptance and belonging, earning standing ovations from the audience and reflected the confidence, creativity and passion of the young people involved.

The evening was not only a celebration of Pride Month, but also a celebration of community in Halton, with people of all ages coming together in support and solidarity. Events like the Pride Cabaret continue to demonstrate the positive impact that inclusive arts and community spaces can have on confidence, wellbeing and visibility for LGBTQIA+ people.

A special thank you goes to Culture Halton and Louise for organising such a fantastic evening and creating a platform for local LGBTQIA+ voices and talent to shine.

Following the success of this year’s event, there is already excitement for future Pride celebrations and opportunities to continue showcasing the talent and voices of the local LGBTQIA+ community.
