Halton Youth Cabinet Strengthens Partnership with The Litter Network
Members of Halton Youth Cabinet (HYC) recently welcomed representatives from The Litter Network and Halton Borough Council as they continued their work to create a cleaner, greener Halton.
The session saw James from The Litter Network and Jimmy from Halton Borough Council join the young people to discuss the importance of reducing litter, increasing recycling, and encouraging communities to take pride in keeping Halton clean.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to plan two exciting upcoming community initiatives. Young people began preparations for the highly anticipated Binimals Launch Event, which will introduce the creative environmental campaign to the wider community, alongside planning for the return of the annual Light Up Halton Walk, an event that brings residents together to celebrate their local area while promoting community pride.
The Binimals campaign has been developed by Halton Youth Cabinet to make litter prevention more engaging and accessible, encouraging residents of all ages to dispose of waste responsibly while helping to create cleaner public spaces across the borough.
Working alongside local partners such as The Litter Network and Halton Borough Council demonstrates the value of collaboration in tackling environmental issues. By combining the passion and creativity of young people with the expertise of community organisations, the partnership is helping to deliver practical projects that will have a lasting impact across Halton.
Vibe UK is proud to support Halton Youth Cabinet as they continue to champion environmental action, proving that young people have an important role to play in shaping cleaner, greener communities for everyone.
