St Helens Youth Council Celebrates 30 Years of Stuttgart Youth Council

Young representatives from St Helens Youth Council recently travelled to Germany to join international partners in celebrating the 30th anniversary of Stuttgart Youth Council, marking three decades of youth voice, collaboration and global connection.

Riley and Yasmin represented St Helens as part of the celebrations, joining young people from across Europe, including Cardiff, Poland and Ukraine. The event brought together youth councils from different countries to recognise the impact of youth participation and the importance of giving young people a platform to be heard.

The anniversary celebrations provided an opportunity not only to reflect on the achievements of Stuttgart Youth Council over the past 30 years, but also to strengthen international friendships and share ideas about the future of youth voice.

Throughout the visit, young people connected through shared experiences, discussions and cultural exchange, highlighting the value of international partnerships in empowering young people and broadening perspectives.

The visit continues St Helens Youth Council’s strong relationship with international partners, reinforcing a shared commitment to ensuring young people are represented, heard and able to shape the future in their own communities.

St Helens Youth Council would like to thank Stuttgart Youth Council for their warm welcome and for the opportunity to be part of such a special celebration.
