St Helens and Halton Youth Councils Unite for YOFO Residential Weekend

Members of St Helens Youth Council (STHYC) and Halton Youth Cabinet (HYC) recently came together to take part in a YOFO residential, enjoying a weekend dedicated to leadership, teamwork, and youth voice.

The residential brought together young leaders from across both boroughs and the North West, providing an opportunity to strengthen friendships, develop new skills, and share ideas with other passionate young people committed to making a difference in their communities.

Throughout the weekend, participants took part in a range of interactive workshops, team-building activities, and discussions designed to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and encourage collaboration. The residential also gave young people the opportunity to reflect on their roles within their youth councils, explore future campaign ideas, and learn more about how they can continue influencing positive change in their local areas.

Away from the formal sessions, the residential created valuable opportunities for young people to connect with one another, build lasting friendships, and enjoy experiences outside of their usual meeting environments.

The event forms part of Vibe UK's ongoing commitment to investing in young people's leadership development and ensuring that the voices of young people continue to shape local services, communities, and decision-making.
