Community Comes Together for Action-Packed Day at Victoria Park

Victoria Park in Widnes was filled with activity as Vibe UK joined local partners to bring young people, families and organisations together for a community event on Monday 24th August.

Running from 10am until 2pm, the event offered a wide range of free activities and opportunities for the community to get involved, from climbing and skateboarding to sports, youth activities and face painting.

Vibe UK Outdoors brought along its climbing wall, giving visitors the chance to challenge themselves and see how high they could climb, while Real Skate Northwest provided opportunities for young people to get active and try something different.

The event also welcomed Cheshire Police and its Summer Roadshow, alongside Halton Family Hubs and other community organisations and local services. Their involvement gave families the opportunity to meet the people and organisations working across Halton, find out more about the support available locally and build positive connections in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Vibe UK's Halton team were on hand throughout the day, getting involved in activities, speaking with young people and families and helping create a positive space for the community to come together during the summer holidays.

The event demonstrated the value of organisations working collaboratively, combining fun and engaging activities with access to local information, services and support in one community setting.
