Young People Set Sail on Tall Ships Adventure from Whitehaven to Liverpool

Young people supported by Vibe UK took to the open water this summer for an unforgettable Tall Ships adventure, sailing aboard the Spirit of Falmouth from Whitehaven to Liverpool.

The voyage gave young people the opportunity to experience life aboard a sailing vessel, leaving dry land behind and working together as they made their way along the coast towards Liverpool.

More than simply a journey from one place to another, the Tall Ships experience provides young people with a unique environment in which to challenge themselves, build confidence, develop independence and learn the importance of working as part of a team.

For some, stepping aboard represented an entirely new experience, offering the chance to push beyond their comfort zones and discover what they were capable of. Living and travelling together also encouraged new friendships and shared experiences that will stay with the group long after returning to shore.

Beginning their adventure in Whitehaven, the young people travelled aboard the Spirit of Falmouth before completing their voyage back home in Liverpool, marking the end of a memorable summer experience at sea.
