Vibe UK and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Help Young People Stay Safe Around Open Water

Young people attending Vibe UK’s RTS Palacefields programme recently took part in an important water safety session delivered in partnership with the Runcorn Red Watch team from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

With soaring temperatures encouraging more people to visit rivers, canals, lakes, and reservoirs, the session focused on raising awareness of the dangers of open water and equipping young people with the knowledge they need to stay safe.

Firefighters from Runcorn Red Watch shared practical advice about recognising the risks associated with open water, making safe choices, and knowing what to do in an emergency. The interactive session encouraged young people to ask questions and engage in discussions about keeping themselves and others safe during the summer months.

The partnership reflects Vibe UK's commitment to providing young people with opportunities to learn valuable life skills while working alongside local organisations to promote community safety and wellbeing.

Vibe UK extends its sincere thanks to the Runcorn Red Watch team and everyone at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service for taking the time to support local young people and for the incredible work they do to protect communities across Cheshire every day.
