Young People March with Pride as GLOW Joins Liverpool Pride 2026

Young people from VIBE UK's LGBTQIA+ youth group, GLOW, proudly took to the streets of Liverpool this weekend as they joined thousands of people at one of the UK's largest Pride celebrations.

Meeting at Liverpool Lime Street before making their way to the city centre, the group marched in the Liverpool Pride Parade, celebrating diversity, inclusion and the importance of creating spaces where every young person can feel safe, valued and accepted.

For many of the young people attending, it was their first experience of a large-scale Pride event.

While local Pride celebrations play an important role in communities, Liverpool Pride offered something different – the opportunity to experience the scale of the LGBTQIA+ community and see tens of thousands of people coming together in celebration, solidarity and support.

Throughout the day, the young people proudly carried Pride flags, spoke with community organisations, enjoyed the celebrations and represented VIBE UK with enthusiasm, kindness and pride.

GLOW provides a welcoming and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ young people aged 11–18 (up to 25 with SEND), offering weekly opportunities to make friends, build confidence, access support and celebrate their identities in a safe and accepting environment.

The visit to Liverpool Pride forms part of GLOW's year-round programme, which includes creative workshops, social events, wellbeing activities, residential trips and opportunities for young people to connect with the wider LGBTQIA+ community.
