Halton Youth Cabinet Helps Shape Liverpool City Region's Future
Two members of Halton Youth Cabinet (HYC) recently represented young people from across the borough during filming for the Liverpool City Region Growth Plan, alongside Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram.
Kya and Chloe were invited to take part in the project, ensuring that the voices and experiences of young people are reflected as plans are developed for the future of the Liverpool City Region. The filming highlighted the importance of involving young people in conversations around growth, opportunity, and the long-term future of the region.
The opportunity allowed the pair to share the perspectives of young people in Halton while representing the work of Halton Youth Cabinet on a regional stage. Their involvement demonstrates the growing recognition of youth voice in shaping policies and decisions that will impact future generations.
Youth participation is at the heart of Halton Youth Cabinet, giving young people the chance to influence local and regional decision-making while developing valuable leadership, communication, and advocacy skills.
Vibe UK is incredibly proud of Kya and Chloe for representing Halton Youth Cabinet with confidence and professionalism. Their contribution to the Liverpool City Region Growth Plan is another example of young people leading conversations that will help shape the communities they live in for years to come.
