Vibe UK and Isle of Man Youth Workers Join Forces at Creamfields
Youth workers from Vibe UK joined forces with colleagues from the Isle of Man at Creamfields, working together throughout the festival to help keep young people safe, supported and looked after.
Working throughout the day and into the night, the teams provided a visible and approachable youth work presence across the festival, ensuring young people knew there was somewhere to turn if they needed advice, information or a little extra support.
From friendly conversations and practical advice to supporting those who needed additional help, youth workers were on hand throughout the event to look out for young people and help them enjoy the festival as safely as possible.
The collaboration brought together the experience of youth workers from both Vibe UK and the Isle of Man, creating one team with a shared focus on young people's safety and wellbeing. It also provided a valuable opportunity for colleagues to share approaches and learn from one another while delivering youth work in a busy festival environment.
Creamfields attracts thousands of people to Cheshire each year, making partnership working and accessible support an important part of helping festivalgoers stay safe throughout the weekend.
Vibe UK would like to say a huge thank you to the youth workers from both teams for their commitment, energy and teamwork from start to finish.
After long days, late nights and plenty of mud, there was only one thing left to do – get some well-earned sleep and work out how to get the mud out of absolutely everything!
